Kevin Duggan will start at Dunblane Cathedral in March - currently DOM at S. Nicolai, Ronne, Bornholm, Denmark and formerly Keynsham and Warminster parish churches. An exciting player, choir trainer and composer.

Does anyone have news from the interviews at Chester earlier this week?
I know two people who were short-listed but not successful.

I hear Stephen Bullamore is moving from St Mary=le-Tower Ipswich to St Mary's Newark - but keeping up his North Herts connections

As a former Assistant here, an age ago, it is heartening to read of this appointment, and I hope that choral and organ music in this magnificent church and the Magnus Song School will once again flourish.

I haven't seen an ad for the DoM job at Exeter which will be available in September I believe. Has an appointment been made?

St Peter and St Pauls Lavenham have just said farewell to their organist - the organ there started life as a three manual Father Willis transplanted from another church, with a fourth manual Solo apparently coming from the remains of a one manual local instrument.

Apologies to our hosts if this is considered not appropriate for this board but after reading the Lavenham story in the linked article I tried to Google "Organist dismissal Muswell Hill Bate" [without the quote marks] and got no relevant hits. I thought legal precedents had been set in that earlier case.

Am I right in thinking there has been a recent change of musical management at St John's RC Cathedral in Norwich?

Ralph Allwood is to become DoM at Queens' Cambridge.  I wonder if this can dovetail with his work at Trinity Laban.

Ben Bloor, currently Organ Scholar at Westminster Cathedral, previously Organ Scholar at St George's Chapel, Windsor and New College, Oxford, to be the Michael James Assistant Sub-Organist at Rochester Cathedral from 1 September 2015.

This new position replaces the posts of Cathedral Organist (currently held by Adrian Bawtree) and Organ Scholar (currently Jack Spencer).

I was at Evensong there yesterday. The chap sitting just behind me was wearing a badge that said "Tim Noon".
