  1. Yet another sad tale of a church with a very fine organ to be replaced with a digital organ. The organ was restored in 1976 and GTB gave the opening recital. the specification ,please see the following link:- Organ Specification the organ has unfortunately has been ciphering due to damage done by a previous director of music to the church and cost needed to restore is over £200,000 which of the course the church does not have. java script:emoticon('')

  3. The scafolding is now coming down from the Town hall with the opening next october. Can someone at mander confirm schedule of work on the organ.
  4. Organmaster shoes are still the best, I had to ruff up the heels as they were a bit slippy.
  5. I have sent an e-mail to Tony Blair via the number 10 website on this.
  6. see http://icbirmingham.icnetwork.co.uk/birmin...-name_page.html
  7. I have been to worcester cathedral recently and plans include moving the Hill organ case to the other trancept. This will enable the larger pedal stops to be used on both organs. I agree the organ after the rebuild in the 1970's made a wonderful sound, but on hearing it recently it sounds tired and loosing wind.
  8. Now that work has started on the building, can someone advise what changes if any will be applied to the organ? Also as i understand the acoustic in the building is to improve, any changes to the voicing? PS well done on the RAH organ.
