  1. Stephen, Do a search on Amazon.co.uk for Grande Heures Liturgiques. This is one of the CDs that handsoff is referring to. Hope this helps. EC
  2. Stunning choral music from Notre Dame de Paris, with Pierre Cochereau at the organ. EC
  3. I would still go ahead and learn it. The top Gs only appear twice throughout the work and can easily be transposed down an octave. EC
  4. I'm equally happy playing on either type of pedalboard, but I know of several organists with shorter legs, who find playing the lower and upper notes of a straight pedalboard quite a stretch. EC
  5. I've just come across this on YouTube Apologies if it's already been posted. EC
  6. Interesting. An obvious giveaway is the Durufle Prelude sur le nom d'Alain. The Dupre Litanie is clearly audible (to me) in the crochet triplet theme. EC
  7. I'm newly registered, so apologies for what seems like a delayed reply. There is a similar issue in the first movement of the Symphonie-Passion. Top pedal F sharps starting at bar 16 of the Jesu Redemptor section. One way round this is to take the F sharps with the right hand on the swell, which is coupled to pedal at that point anyway. This is easier and doesn't seem to affect the music in any way. EC
  8. Do take time out to visit St Bavokerk's in Haarlem. It's well worth a visit and can easily be reached from Amsterdam Central Station. Here's some info on the organ. EC
  9. Played by Stephen Tharp on the organ of St Patrick's Cathedral, NYC. EC
  10. To add to the list: Alexis Chauvet - Cloche du Soir Louis Maes - Les Clochettes Marcel Paponaud - Carillon EC
