Yes - I think half of the fun of playing the Crucifixion these days is utilising just these 'non run-of-the-mill' stops. We did it last year at Nantwich and time spent registrating it beforehand was enjoyable and appreciated by singers and audience alike. Comments like 'we've never heard it make those sounds' before, were intensely satisfying. It was a good performance as well. On a side issue, Maunder's 'Olivet to Calvary' seems to be THE thing to perform in Cheshire just at the moment'
