My apologies if this is completely off topic.
For several months now I have been exploring Youtube which has some 300 plus video recordings of a young player from Holland.
gert van hoef
In view of the fact that this young man only started to play the piano when he was 13 years old.
He seems to be making quite a name for himself
Lots of his early recordings were made on Electronic instruments, however , his online recordings
indicate that he is becoming quite a player .
Not being an organist myself, I'd be interested to hear any positive / constructive comment.
I Many thanks

Absolutely! And, if H&H's recent work is anything to go by, there's an extremely good chance of a really musical and beautiful result at B St E which is appropriate to its surroundings and function.
Not sure if there's a more up-to-date discussion thread, but the new instrument is now in use.

I heard that he left the post before the summer, although I don't know why. I understand it was rather sudden.
I assume you mean before the summer holidays ?
Toward the end of June 09 he directed the Choir in the Sunday Worship broadcast on BBC Radio 4.

Sorry to be an organ buff but to my ears the organ at Liverpool Cathedral (C of E) has lost a lot of power as I heard it the other week both up and downstairs. I know the Tuba Magna has been revoiced many times, but there's something about it which isn't the same.
Any thoughts?........
I gather its once again the largest instrument in the Country
