Does anyone here know of music that would be good for paying after a baptism service? Im due to play one soon, and was told that a bach p+f wouldn't be ideal. Does anyone know what might be?

How about Flor Peeters' prelude on Winchester New (On Jordan's bank....)? ("Thirty Short Preludes" Peters 6195)

I always go for something approachable, due to the "non-churched" who are always there, and not too loud so as not to frighten the baby!

For the baptism of the son of the local "Blue Cross" people some years ago I arranged and played the theme from "All Creatures Great and Small".

I I played it again at the crem last week for the funeral of the mother.

How about a an organ arrangement of Haydn's Surprise Symphony?

Messiaen. Indoctrinate the child quickly.

Absolutely. Give 'em Les eaux de la grâce.

Why not go one step further and play Passacaglia from "Lady Macbeth of Mstensk" by Shostakovich?

:P
