Peter Clark
Is the download recommended? The reason I ask is that my original (Novello) edition seems to have gone walkies (along with the few other things) and according to Musicroom it costs £29.50, so if this one is any good that might save me a few quid. The only trouble is that is doesn't provide the original chorales nor the texts which I always felt to be a strong point in Novello's favour. http://imslp.org/wiki/Chorale_Preludes_I_%...nn_Sebastian%29 I have had some fairly decent music printed off from this site in the past. Thanks Peter
pwhodges
The text is generally fine, but note that there are a lot of C clefs in this volume. The original BG volumes were very large indeed (I had the volume containing the OB at one time, and it was the largest music volume I've ever seen), and still looked black on the page - printing out a scan on A4 paper would lead to an unsatisfactory experience, I would think. Thanks Peter Excuse me for butting in......... Are you aware also of the Werner Icking Archive? http://icking-music-archive.org/ByComposer/J.S.Bach.php About two thirds down the page on this link is the full set of Orgelbuchlein, free to print-off, comes as .PDF If you haven't been here before, it is a massive archive. Once you start poking around in it, you'll be there for ever!
