pcnd5584
Does anyone happen to have an organ transcription of The Ride of the Valkyries which I could borrow (or know where I can get one quickly), please? Apparently I have to play the procession out to this on Remembrance Day. One other point - I do not have a lot of practice-time available, since I have a trip to Spain with a choir for most of half-term. Any help gratefully received. I have two versions - the Edwin Lemare (as recorded by GT-B at Ally Pally) , which I would not try to learn in a hurry and the David Patrick 'simplified' version. If I promised to look it out for you, you would have to say several Hail Marys to assist the search. I know I've got it somewhere...but where???!!! Come to me if you don't get a better offer. pcnd5584
Apparently I am shortly to be furnished with a copy. My grateful thanks to all contributors who replied with kind offers of help so promptly! (Not quite the right emot., but I hope that users will know what I mean....) AJJ
I have two versions - the Edwin Lemare (as recorded by GT-B at Ally Pally) , which I would not try to learn in a hurryand the David Patrick 'simplified' version. An excellent version if you want all the excitement but not quite as much of the 'technical torture' of the Lemare - available at a very reasonable price from here. David Patrick has also done an nice (and not over difficult) arrangement of the J.S.Bach - Sinfonia to Cantata 29 - published by these. "I'm afraid that opera music is not really the done thing in church" Hence, a certain Royal Wedding got the Widor Toccata. MM
