Dear Holz,

 

We know Mr Vernet on the french forum, and so I can say this is not the case.

He presents what he does, of course. But he also help young musicians who

ask him how to progress with this and that. Suffice to ask him.

And I bet you have not heard St Louis en L'Ile sound like this before - this is M. Vernet playing - don't just listen to the start - amazing!

If we're plugging complete cheap Bach sets, then the Decca/Hurford set is almost the same price on 17 discs. It is an excellent set.

and talking about full Bach sets,,, anyone come across what seemed like a newish recording by Andre Isoir

"Les 4 Toccatas & Fugues on cal 3318 recorded at St-Cyprien-en-Perigord

Or, if you want _real_ value for money: "The Complete Bach Edition" 155 CDs for about 90 quid - including the complete organ works with Hans Fagius.
