Too bad 'our host' may only deliver tuba's to the continent however good they are; why not let him build an entire instrument?

Excellent question indeed; there are Mander organs in Japan and the U.S.A., but not even

in the Benelux, which is nearer to London than many british towns.

Let us name the facts by their name: whenever you try to introduce a "foreign" organ-builder,

even from another EC country (also, not a foreigner at all!), the protectionnism immediately

appears.

Free trade ? Dass ich nicht lache....

Whenever a builder is confronted to such problems, he should drop a line to Mevrouw Neelie Kroes:

http://ec.europa.eu/commission_barroso/kroes/index_en.html

....She does not laugh at all and do her job with passion !

Now to deliver Tubas could be a beginning. This is something continental builders

"cannot" do -because they never encoutered them, not because of lack of skills-.

Afterwards the demand could concern complete instruments; but once again, I think the

main reason is the britishmen's passion for shooting in one's own foot, like often

in this very forum:

-Romantic english organs are "wrong"

-Baroque english organs are "music boxes", "wrong compasses and no Pedals", etc;

- The english post-romantic (a period which is denied existence) high pressure reed voicing,

something unique, is "bad", etc etc etc;

-Historic organs are still destroyed;

Instead, it seems Britain will be full with "french" organs in a few years.... So how to market

british food if the englishmen prefer french cuisine instead ?
