Anthony Poole Posted August 21, 2004 Share Posted August 21, 2004 I heard, or read, recently that the Maiami Center for the Performing Arts and, in particular, the construction of the concert hall is progressing. I wondered whether anyone had heard, as I recall that Mander Organs won the initial competition to design and build the organ. I just checked the website while writing this post and it certainly shows photographs of construction of the hall and ballet/opera house going on. We were indeed selected as the preferred builders of the organ, but nothing approaching a contract has been signed. The whole project has been fraught with difficulties and setbacks and this has resulted in the organ going very much on the back burner. We live in hope but can count on nothing.
