Dr Vann celebrates his 99th birthday on Sunday. I'm sure all here will want to wish him many happy returns, and continued good health in the coming year.

I would really like to obtain a copy of his piece Fetes (?) - the Mayhew volume concerned appears not to be in print and they do not respond to email - if you may be able to help please PM. I seem to remember that the piece is in fact dedicated to one of us on here.

Indeed - I thought that I recalled reading that he had died a couple of months ago.
