The A. Oldknow organ of Dinan (F) 1889

This organ, in original state, is one of the british historic

organs of Brittany.

It was built by Alfred Oldknow of Jersey in 1889.

In the same neck of the woods, from the same stable and well worth a visit is this. I remember playing it for a Sunday morning service in the mid/late '70s and recall it being a fine instrument, if somewhat oppressive in a rather small and acoustically dry chapel. I believe the organ is still in use, though I have no information about its condition.
