I'm not really into conspiracy theories, but as a bit of a veteran of the board by now, I think there is something going on which escapes my immediate comprehension.

 

Where do the board members go in May or June?

 

Do they gather at foreign organ recitals, like migrating swallows?

 

Are they simply suffering from the "Apres Easter" phenomenon?

 

Have they gone to international academies or departed for summer schools?

 

Are they just exhausted?

 

Maybe it's just teaching pressures and exams coming up in June, but whatever it is, they vanish for a while.

It's not that I feel there is something going on, but there has been a marked downturn of postings which seemed to commence with the removal of Paul Derrett from the forum. He invariably posted some interesting and thought stimulating stuff

Sad it is, certanly, but some of us tried to warn Paul,(as Barry knows), and for reasons which I have written about previously, everyone was placed in an impossible position, and I reluctantly have to admit that the ban was totally justified on legal grounds as well as board membership rules.

 

I find it even sadder that others should leave the board because of it, but they are entitled to their views and feelings.

 

I hope those who left because of it will re-consider their position in due course.
