pcnd5584
Oh rats! If one of the Moderators wishes to delete one of these duplicate posts - please could you leave the colour one? It makes the couplers, etc, easier to read. Many thanks. DONE - MANDER ORGANS I have no idea why my stupid computer is saying everything twice. I have just installed a new graphics card and a new fan/heat sink-thingy (which necessitated removing the motherboard). However, I cannot see why that should make it do this. Anyway - sorry for the double posting. Please reassure Brian Childs that I have not simply found another way of shouting on-line.... Cheers! Stupid freaking 'puter.... Jonathan Thorne
What was the point in this? I'm really cheesed off about pointless things that go on with this discussion board. I'm surprised that the appropriate people have not been deleted from this board.
pcnd5584
My apologies - I was unaware that gentle amusement had been outlawed. This is, of course, the Nuts and Bolts thread. Whilst I agree that some posts (usually those containing schemes for impossibly large organs) have been somewhat pointless, I felt - as did Colin Harvey and one or two other contributors - that responding to some of the posts of Steve Bournias was, in effect, an olive-branch. If, however, you were referring to my post regarding the duplication of my submissions - I had this happen previously. Since it took a little time to put certain stops in red and italics, I simply wished to ask the Moderator to keep that version. Quite why this should bother you is beyond my comprehension. You are, of course, at liberty to refrain from reading those posts which look as if they might irritate you. After all, it is not as if there is a finite amount of space available for posting. In that case, there could be an argument for including only those posts which are of practical use - or scholarly content. Why not begin a thread on a subject which is of interest to yourself? I've just done a quick rule of thumb calculation, and I think that this one will stick out quite a bit more than usual. I appreciate you have not specified an 8' Principal, but otherwise this is a considerably bigger RP than any I have ever encountered. Of course, it is possible that you are just calling it Ruckpositiv - in which case, why exactly are you doing this? P.

I would agree with Paul that the Positive is a bit large - the pipes will still need adequate space to speak, if only to avoid tuning problems - and afford the average-sized tuner reasonable access.
