David Drinkell
May he rest in peace. His firm had some fine work to its credit and he himself had vision and skill which resulted in a number of worthy memorials to him.
charnwood
I am very sorry to hear the news of Alastairs passing. Alastair employed me on as an area tuner in 1982 and I continued to work for R&D for twenty years until they went in to liquidation. I found the company good to work for and Mr Alastair, as he was known as on the shop floor, was always supportive to me especially as I was only 22 when I started. I found the company was well run and of course the Rushworth name was very well known on Mersyside not just for organbuilding but also for the music retail shops. I also found out recently that they were music publishers in the past. Ian Carter Cousans Organs Rothley Leicestershire
