AJJ Posted October 16, 2019 Posted October 16, 2019 Has anyone here picked up anything on the new Grenzing organ going into the cathedral in Prague? Would be interested to see a spec. but there seems to be nothing on line. A
Choir Man Posted October 17, 2019 Posted October 17, 2019 Updating their website doesn't seem to be one of Grenzing's priorities, from what I can tell there's nothing been added since 2013. Radio Prague International had an article two days ago about the organ being played in Grenzing's workshop: https://www.radio.cz/en/section/curraffrs/new-pipe-organ-for-st-vitus-cathedral-resounds-for-first-time
Choir Man Posted October 17, 2019 Posted October 17, 2019 I found some more info (but no specification) at: https://www.svatovitskevarhany.com/
swalmsley Posted October 17, 2019 Posted October 17, 2019 The spec is visible under the "Adopt a Pipe" page. https://www.svatovitskevarhany.com/en/pipe-adoption

DaveHarries Posted October 17, 2019 Posted October 17, 2019 IMO the design of the new one is rather too modern for that cathedral. I wonder what will become of the current instrument and its historic-looking case? Dave
