Rowland Wateridge Posted December 26, 2020 Posted December 26, 2020 Gracious, that is a shock. She was a very fine player and personable in conversation. I last heard her in a memorable live performance at Leeds Town Hall. She was able to coax sounds out of the Klais at St Lawrence Jewry which would confound the critics of that organ - a case I suppose, as so often, of the incumbent knowing how to get the best from their instrument. Dee E. Surtees Posted December 26, 2020 Posted December 26, 2020 Such sad news. I was fortunate to be an observer at a masterclass she gave on Bach’s Leipzig chorales a few years ago, and learnt so much from everything she had to say to the students.
