Pierre Lauwers
Here is a rare sound file: one of the very few french post-romantic organ, the Jacquot-Lavergne of Verdun (1935): http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=0UAnVUXyLAI&...feature=related The reed choruses are extremely powerfull. To be heard with the "high quality" option and an headphone+ the loudspeakers of the Hi-Fi (for the basses). Do not miss to read the full commentary.I think this organ is ideal for Dupré, who had nearly the same kind built by the same builder in Rouen Cathedral (not St-Ouen!!!) but with less success it seems.
