David Drinkell
If anyone is looking for something good to play at Christmas, may I recommend Giles Bryant's "Variations on the Huron Carol Jesous Ahatonia"? In its entirety, it makes a good recital piece, but various movements will stand alone, including several toccatas, and none of it is particularly difficult. You can find it on the Royal Canadian College of Organists website www.rcco.ca "Jesous Ahatonia" is better known as "'Twas in the month of wintertime" and the tune is the French Noel "Une jeune pucelle", which also crops up in Charpentier's "Messe de Minuit". Richard Fairhurst
That looks enjoyable. Antony Baldwin's choral arrangement of the Huron carol is very effective - published by OUP.
