yapper
I have a dispute with the performing rights society in Singapore over the rate they intend to charge us for an organ recital. Their rate is based on the seating capacity of the church, and has turned out to be more than 150 pounds. And this to play just 3 minutes of 20th Century music. I would be very grateful if members could let me know how rates are computed for a free organ recital in the UK as well as other European countries. We don't have many free organ recitals, so I think they have not thought it through properly. Some performing rights societies publish their rates on the internet, but not the PRS and as I don't read other lanugaues, have little access to rates not in English. Many thanks.
