David Drinkell
Theo Saunders, until recently Organist and Master of the Choristers at Armagh Cathedral, died recently after a long period of ill health. Theo was previously at St. James the Great, Leicester, and had been at Armagh since 2002. A fine person and a skilled musician. May he rest in peace and rise in glory. innate
Very sad news. I owe Theo much from the encouragement he gave me when I was a youngster just starting on the organ. He was a graceful host and a conscientious and witty correspondent. I was so pleased I contacted him a couple of years ago and was able to see him, his house and cathedral in Armagh, after a gap of more than 30 years. keyplayer
I an so saddened by this news. Although I have not seen Theo for some years we remained in occasional contact by email and I remember fondly his time in Exeter and the opportunities he gave me for accompaniment of his choir on the cathedral organ. May he rest in peace.
