carrick Posted January 31, 2024 Posted January 31, 2024 Many of you may already know about the Musical Museum in Brentford. Unfortunately, this year the museum is at risk of closing due to the increasing energy bills and maintenance expenses. The museum is home to an impressive assortment of musical instruments ranging from Pianolas and Mills Violanas to Street organs and Aeolian organs, and most notably, the museum also houses the Mighty Wurlitzer making it one of the few places in the world where you can hear a Wurlitzer theatre pipe organ almost every day of the week. If you're interested in learning more about the appeal to save the museum, you can find additional information by following the link provided. Please note that I am not personally involved in the appeal or the museum, but I'm simply helping to spread the word. https://www.gofundme.com/f/musicalmuseum
Colin Pykett Posted February 1, 2024 Posted February 1, 2024 Thank you for highlighting the plight of this museum and, by implication, that of similar ones which have fallen on financial hard times in recent years.
