Board Statistics....

Oh my God - do we really have fifty-three user(s) currently on the board - forty-six of whom are visitors. I wonder what thread sparked this flurry of interest?

I also wonder if the board statistics are always correct. I am fairly certain that, on the welcome page, there is (or was) a line which read(s) something to the effect of: 'Most ever users on-line = 1'. This is definitely not correct....

I further note (look, it is a slow evening, OK?) that I am unable apparently to add friends to my profile, should I desire to do so. It seems that this feature has either been disabled - or has recently hidden itself. Does anyone have any ideas?

This said (well, written) I am grateful to Mr. Mander for the return of much of the former branding. Perhaps we could consider the addition of one or two applications - such as an on-line form of Cathedralopoly (if, of course, Dr. Barry Rose has not already secured the copyright).

The 46 are likely to be mostly spiders. I don't mean arachnids, but the automatic web crawlers from the various search engines that cache copies of pages. I used to belong to a forum where I had permission to view the "who's online" facility and the spider activity was out of all proportion to the membership's!

Ah.

.... and there I was ,thinking that I had missed some exciting new thread....

It sounds like the time at St. Edward's House, Westminster, when the perspex board (which advertised the service times, and which stood a few centimetres proud of the wall) was maliciously altered, so that one of the services read 'SEX' - instead of 'SEXT'.

Apparently, the chapel was full to overflowing that night.

The Rev'd. Chris Brain and the Nine O'clock Service ride again?!

Earlier today I had a look at the new members awaiting validation, and was astonished to see how many strange souls lurked in pending. Judging by the names, most were going to offer us porn or pills if they got through the net.

I had never appreciated how much work Rachel has to do to keep us from becoming tarnished.

Thanks, Rachel.

It's a funny thing, but I've only known one organist who enjoyed Dutch coffee-cake, and he was rubbish.

We seem, as a rare breed, (possibly even qualifying for a government grant), to be pleasantly free of organists who require medication.

The same thing cannot, of course, be said for alcohol.

I'm not sure whether I like my Bach layed back, spaced out, hyperactive or just befuddled. Maybe "switched-on" would be a better option.

What on earth is porn? I've never come across this.

I'm such an innocent at heart........you can tell by the usual smile.

Dear MM,

In order to add that word to my vocabulary, may I ask

for a little drawing ?
