Martin Cooke
We paid a visit to this amazing place yesterday which, I guess is probably best described as being close to Wincanton. It is stunning. So much there that is interesting. Amongst many other wonderful features is a brand new but old style barn - it is the topmost building on the right hand side of the picture that that link will take you to. Gosh, an organ would be wonderful in there, in the same spirit as the London Bridge station organ. But... in the meantime, well worth a visit - but you need to get your head around the membership/entrance arrangements before you get there! Peter Allison
no organist could afford those bloody breakfast or lunch menus🤣
Martin Cooke
Yes... it would be so much better value if there were a nice organ to play! (But I can recommend their Gardener's Breakfast complete with Hadspen sausage!)
Adnosad
This site is the last place to be political but IMHO only I perused the site with what can only be described as " OMG! can this be for REAL ? A Georgian mansion with details as to how the family fortune was more than likely originally accumulated conveniently omitted? The feeble excuse of " it`s all in the past " no longer applies ; the past has come back to haunt us , and it is not going away soon. But, yes..............it would be lovely with an organ............A Hammond perhaps?.......a Farfisa? Then we could all rattle our Crown Derby and choke on our strawberries as we bellow out some Good Old Empire building ditties.
