AJJ Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 I have just got hold of a CD set of his complete (I think) organ music - of it's type and time some of it is rather good. Does anyone play any of it? A
madorganist Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 I play TheThree Meditations from time to time - not IMHO top drawer material
Martin Cooke Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 The third of the meditations is a beautiful and well worth a look. Some of his music is available on line from the IMSLP site.

Clavecin Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Prelude Funebre is well worth investigating, and despite the title is not at all gloomy. I heard it played twice at recitals within a fairly short space of time. I got a copy in PDF form as a free download, I can't remember the web address, just google it adding the words 'free score' and you should find it.
AJJ Posted February 9, 2012 Author Posted February 9, 2012 Try also Sortie in B flat - from IMSLP and other places too - a truncated version of the original (4 pages intead of 12ish - from the 6 Pieces) but worth a bash through. A
timothyguntrip Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Although I have the majority of his works, I've only ever played the Prelude Funebre, a nice piece - and also a few from the harmonium collection. I've looked through a number of the others, and the Introduction and Allegro Moderato looks rather interesting too. The Sibley Music Library has the full version of the Sortie.
